How would you describe yourself?
A wide-eyed, bushy-tailed adventurer
What is your proudest achievement thus far in life?
Changing the world through the people I interact with. I make it clear to them that they are one of a kind and that is what the world needs. Each has its own story, and I can learn from interacting with them.
What's the best thing about being older?
People are used to me now. They don't even blink when I act the way I always had: taking risks, going places to explore, seeing things in a unique way, and letting my mind do the thing it does.
What has been the most challenging thing about growing older?
Being around others that think they have nothing left to explore and learn. There is more to life at any age. Dream and do!
What's one thing you've become more passionate about as you age?
Travel: the world is very small, and people are more alike than different.
What is one thing you want to do in this season of life?
I think of myself more as seasoning--the same thing changes into something else just by seasoning it differently. Have a spicy life!
What would you tell your younger self about aging?
Your life is different than everyone else's. That is ok. Keep exploring and looking at the world the way you do.
What's one thing you've left behind?
I try not a look backward. I have a hard enough time not tripping through today!
What do you want people to say about you at your funeral?
I always felt better after being with her. She made me smile, laugh, and helped me enjoy the world a bit more. And she made me travel. Her stories of other places made me want to go explore... and I did!
What's your best health tip as you grow older?
Keep moving, laugh daily, and keep an eye out for unexpected joy. That is what will keep you healthier than any other external thing.
What's your best beauty tip as you grow older?
Wear whatever makes you happy. For me, that is color. And the pandemic taught me life is too short for underwire bras. And finally, laugh at yourself going through life. It makes you magnetically beautiful.
What is one of your favorite resources (book, podcast, movie, website, etc.) that you want to share?
Read the funny cards at the store or read memes to find what brings a smile to you. Then share it with others. Everyone needs at least one laugh a day and if you can help with that...the world might just lighten up a bit.
Describe the rest of your life in five words.
Never followed directions exactly.
