I recently attended an event where the theme was “Love your Life.” I stopped to ponder that idea, which prompted the question: “Am I truly loving my life?”
We need to be so busy loving our life that we do not have time for hate, regret or fear. In fact, I recently read something that said, “If you are not obsessed with the life you are living, change it.”
Getting Past the Stagnation
I must admit that sometimes I find myself being a procrastinator. That choice to procrastinate has to be a factor taken into consideration when pondering the question, “Am I truly loving my life?” To be honest, I could certainly do better. It’s good to consider why procrastination is happening. I like to ask myself, “What do I need to work through to help me fall in love with my life?” It happens to all of us, and even the best of us – life starts to stagnate and drag.
However, now is the time to push through and say, “No matter what, I am amazing! I am proud that I got out of bed this morning! I forgive myself and I am committed to me. I have nothing to hide, protect, defend or prove. I will no longer be held hostage from my past, because I didn’t do this or that. I leave the past behind. I give myself permission to let go of the mistakes. I have learned that obstacles are designed to help break you down and find your true self. It’s time for me to know my purpose.”
It is time to give notice and stop asking for permission. Instead we need to be bigger, bolder and on fire in support of our wishes. Boldly say, “I want my now. It’s time to kill excuses and the blame game. It’s time to use my internal GPS that comes from within to move forward. It’s time to become my own life coach and make self-improvement the priority that it deserves to be.”
I’ve decided that the next time my mood needs a boost, I will practice gratitude. Every time a negative thought crosses my mind, I will replace it with a positive one.
Life is more positive than we tend to give it credit for. Let’s learn to fall in love with ourselves!
